Bareilly: A distinguished delegation from the Department of Applied Philosophy of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, brought laurels to the university by participating in a prestigious three-day international seminar held at the sacred town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand from May 13 to 15, 2026.
The academic delegation, guided by Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh, showcased the university’s scholarly excellence at the global-level philosophical congregation attended by nearly 450 research scholars, assistant professors, associate professors, and senior academicians from across India and abroad.
The seminar also witnessed the presence of eminent spiritual leaders and scholars, including Pratyaksha Chaitanya Shankaracharya Swami Mukundanand Giri Ji Maharaj and Yogi Balak Nath Ji Maharaj, along with several renowned thinkers from the field of philosophy.
One of the highlights of the event was the participation of Prof. A.K. Singh, Head of the Department of Applied Philosophy and Chief Warden of the university campus, who chaired an important technical session during the seminar. Under his leadership, research papers presented by scholars from different parts of the country and abroad were successfully conducted and discussed.
In recognition of his notable contribution to the field of philosophy and academic discourse, Prof. A.K. Singh was honoured with an angavastram and a memento by Swami Mukundanand Giri Ji Maharaj.
The university team also included Assistant Professor Dr. Priyanshu Agrawal, Teaching Assistants Himanshu Jaiswal and Himanshi Behera, and research scholar Prakhar Sharma. Their research presentations received appreciation from scholars and delegates present at the seminar. The young academicians were also felicitated for their meaningful academic contributions and research-oriented work.

Scholars attending the seminar described the international gathering at Badrinath as a landmark event that established new benchmarks in philosophical and academic discussions.
Expressing happiness over the achievement, Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh congratulated the entire team and praised their outstanding representation of the university on an international platform. He said such academic participation enhances the university’s reputation and encourages further engagement in global intellectual and philosophical forums.
The university administration also termed the achievement a proud moment for the institution and a reflection of its growing academic stature in the field of philosophy and higher education.
